RhinoResurf is a reverse engineering plug-in for Rhino 3D that
gives Rhino the ability to reconstruct geometry from a mesh or
point cloud into a NURBS surface.
RhinoResurf adds new commands to Rhino via a new submenu called
"Resurf", where a variety of user friendly tools can
be found that cater for different types of input geometry. For
example, you can:
- drape a surface over a point cloud within a specified tolerance.
The surface is deformed to take the shape of the object along
an automatically calculated drape direction
- convert an open mesh model to a single NURB surface within
a specified tolerance. The mesh is allowed to have interior
holes in the model
- convert an open or closed mesh to multiple NURB surfaces.
The transition between any two NURBS surface patches reaches
G1 continuity
- merge several meshes into one
